De Palm Island Beach: Safety, Parking & FAQs

De Palm Island combines a small beach with organised water activities and day-visitor facilities. Unlike Aruba's public roadside beaches, access is through the island's paid excursion operation.

Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.

Beach safety

Follow the operator’s designated swimming zones, life-jacket instructions and activity-specific age, height and health rules. Supervise children actively and do not assume one activity’s lifeguard coverage applies to the whole island.

Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.

Parking & access

This is a boat-access island, not a drive-up beach. Confirm the mainland departure point and self-drive parking arrangements with De Palm when booking. Do not navigate a car to the island beach pin.

Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.
