Iguana Beach: Safety, Parking & FAQs

Iguana Beach is the family-oriented side of Renaissance Island, with calm water and resort services. It is not a roadside public beach; visitors need authorised island access.

Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.

Beach safety

Use designated swimming areas, supervise children within reach and follow resort staff instructions. Sheltered water and a family-oriented setting are not substitutes for supervision or an assessment of the day’s conditions.

Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.

Parking & access

Iguana Beach is reached by Renaissance Island water taxi, not by car. Arrange authorised island access first and ask the resort about mainland parking, fees and boarding.

Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.
