Malmok Beach: Safety, Parking & FAQs

Malmok is a narrow, rocky shoreline with calm, transparent water on many days. It is a popular launch point for snorkellers and divers who want quick access to Aruba's northwestern marine life.

Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.

Beach safety

This is a rocky shoreline, not a continuous sandy swimming beach. Choose an easy exit before entering, avoid slippery rocks, and keep well clear of visiting catamarans and sailboats.

Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.

Parking & access

A designated public parking lot, current restrictions and charges have not been verified. Use only signed legal spaces along your chosen access route; keep residential entrances and the coastal road clear.

Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.

Malmok Beach FAQs

Why does boat awareness matter at Malmok?

Tour boats stop offshore for snorkelling. Stay away from boat approaches and propellers, remain visible, and do not assume crews can see a snorkeller at the surface.

How do I access Malmok Beach?

Public roadside shoreline with several small entry points

What should I bring and plan before visiting?

Bring drinking water, sun protection and secure footwear for the approach. For snorkelling, use well-fitting gear, go with a buddy and choose a clear entry and exit; flotation does not make dangerous currents safe.
