Baby Beach is a shallow, turquoise lagoon at Aruba's southeastern tip. Its protected inner water is ideal for wading and family beach time, with deeper snorkelling toward the bay's safer inner edges.
Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.
Beach safety
Stay in the sheltered inner lagoon and within current marked swimming or snorkelling areas. Currents near and beyond the opening can be stronger. Do not follow fish or other swimmers toward the open sea; keep children within reach.
Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.
Parking & access
Road access is established, but current parking layout, charges and restrictions have not been verified. Follow signs and authorised parking directions on arrival rather than assuming an open sandy area is a lot.
Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.
Baby Beach FAQs
Does shallow water make Baby Beach automatically safe for children?
No. The inner lagoon attracts families, but depth, wind and currents still matter. Closely supervise children and stay away from the bay opening.
How do I access Baby Beach?
Public beach with road access and visitor facilities
What should I bring and plan before visiting?
Bring drinking water, sun protection and a towel. Check the shoreline before unpacking and do not rely on a vacant shade hut or rental equipment being available.
