Surfside Beach: Safety, Parking & FAQs

Surfside Beach brings shallow, often-calm water to the edge of Oranjestad. Shade, nearby food options and its convenient location make it an easy family stop.

Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.

Beach safety

Keep children within reach and stay away from boat activity. Check the actual swimming area before entering; proximity to beach bars or the town does not establish lifeguard coverage.

Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.

Parking & access

The Aruba Tourism Authority’s Surfside listing includes public parking as an amenity. Current capacity, fees and precise accessible routes are not confirmed; follow signs at the parking area.

Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.
