SURFSIDE BEACH
Description
Incorporated in 1964, Surfside Beach is renowned throughout the Grand Strand as a “family beach.” The town features seven public parks offering amenities for tennis, bocce, shuffleboard, and more. The pristine beaches are cleaned daily and monitored by lifeguards and police, with multiple access points providing showers, restrooms, and accessible ramps for people with disabilities. In 2016, the Surfside Beach town council declared Surfside Beach the first autism-friendly travel destination, enhancing its reputation as a welcoming destination for families.
