Grapefield Beach: A Secluded Oasis on Aruba's Eastern Edge

Grapefield Beach, located just north of Boca Grandi on the eastern side of Aruba, offers a unique blend of cliffs and pristine coastline. This 600-meter-long stretch of white sand beach extends to Rincon Bay, covering about a kilometer. It's a quiet and tranquil spot that tends to be less crowded, providing an opportunity for a peaceful getaway.

While at Grapefield Beach, you can take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. However, swimming and snorkeling are discouraged due to the prevalent strong currents and trade winds typical of Aruba's east side.

Grapefield Beach is also known for its wooden shacks, which surfers use when spending a day here. In the past, it was a popular spot for sea grape plants, and people would come to pick the fruits. Although the plants have become less common, you might still stumble upon some and enjoy the grapes.

If you plan to explore the cliffs in the area, ensure that you are adequately prepared and wear suitable attire. It's not advisable to challenge the cliffs while in your swimming or sunbathing outfit.

As you prepare to visit Grapefield Beach, keep in mind that there are no amenities available on the beach, so bring your necessities. Additionally, consider packing protective beach shoes for your comfort and safety.

Grapefield Beach offers a serene and less crowded alternative to some of Aruba's more popular beaches. Whether you're seeking relaxation, a picnic spot, or a place to watch experienced surfers and windsurfers in action, Grapefield Beach has something to offer.
