Blackstone Beach is unlike Aruba's famous white-sand bays: rounded dark stones fill a compact cove on the east coast. Sunrise and the surrounding rock formations make it especially photogenic.
Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.
Beach safety
Rounded stones can roll underfoot and waves can sweep across the shore. Treat Blackstone as a photography and scenery stop, not a swimming beach. Do not climb natural bridges or approach exposed edges.
Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.
Parking & access
A dedicated beach parking lot has not been verified. Confirm the current approach from the Andicuri area, park only where permitted, and expect uneven walking rather than a level beach entrance.
Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.
Blackstone Beach FAQs
Is Blackstone a white-sand sunbathing beach?
No. Its distinctive dark rounded stones are the attraction. Wear secure footwear for the approach and choose another beach if your priority is comfortable sandy swimming access.
How do I access Blackstone Beach?
Remote and lightly marked; commonly approached on foot from nearby east-coast routes
What should I bring and plan before visiting?
Bring ample drinking water, sun protection, secure walking shoes and a charged phone with an offline route. Tell someone your plans and leave time for the return; do not rely on services or mobile coverage.
