Conchi Natural Pool: Safety, Parking & FAQs

Conchi is a natural saltwater pool sheltered by volcanic rock on Aruba's remote northeast coast. The journey is part of the experience, and safe entry depends entirely on the day's swell.

Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.

Beach safety

Enter only when park staff permit it and sea conditions are suitable. Waves can overtop the rock barrier, and rocks and steps can be slippery. Do not climb the outer barrier, jump into the pool or treat it as a supervised swimming pool.

Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.

Parking & access

A regular passenger car cannot reach Conchi. Confirm the approved route, vehicle rules and stopping point with Arikok or a guide. Park admission is required; current parking details and fees are not verified.

Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.

Conchi Natural Pool FAQs

Can I drive a normal rental car directly to Conchi?

No. The tourism authority describes rough terrain unsuitable for a regular car. Arrange an approved guided trip or a suitably planned hike and check current park access rules.

How do I access Conchi Natural Pool?

Inside Arikok National Park. Confirm an approved guided trip or planned hiking route; regular cars cannot reach the pool.

What should I bring and plan before visiting?

Bring ample drinking water, sun protection, secure walking shoes and a charged phone with an offline route. Tell someone your plans and leave time for the return; do not rely on services or mobile coverage.
