Boca Prins: Safety, Parking & FAQs

Boca Prins pairs a sandy cove with pale dunes and the raw energy of Aruba's northeast coast. The overlook and surrounding park landscape are the attraction; the sea here is typically too forceful for swimming.

Use this guide to plan your visit, then follow current signs, weather conditions and local instructions on the day. This is planning guidance, not a live sea-condition report.

Beach safety

Do not enter the water. The Aruba Tourism Authority specifically describes warnings against entry because of strong undertow. Keep away from wave reach and take care on the steps and cliff edges.

Do not assume lifeguards are present. Check for current warnings, swim with a buddy where swimming is appropriate, and keep young children within arm’s reach. If conditions are uncertain, stay out of the water.

Parking & access

Confirm the permitted stopping area and route with Arikok staff. Current parking capacity and charges are not verified; park admission is separate from any parking arrangement. Do not drive on dunes or beach sand.

Lock the vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and leave emergency access, driveways, dunes and beach vegetation clear. A beach map pin marks the destination, not necessarily an authorised parking entrance.

Boca Prins FAQs

Is the attractive cove suitable for a quick dip?

No. The inviting sand does not cancel the undertow warning. Enjoy Boca Prins from the shore and follow park signs and ranger instructions.

How do I access Boca Prins?

Inside Arikok National Park; follow park access rules and hours

What should I bring and plan before visiting?

Bring ample drinking water, sun protection, secure walking shoes and a charged phone with an offline route. Tell someone your plans and leave time for the return; do not rely on services or mobile coverage.
