Conditions vary around the island. Aruba’s west and south coasts are generally calmer, while the north and east coasts can have powerful surf, undertow and difficult access. Check the water before entering, follow local and park guidance, protect coral and wildlife, use reef-conscious sun protection, bring drinking water, and take all litter with you.
Before you go
- Match the beach and water conditions to your swimming ability.
- Keep children within arm’s reach near the water.
- Use a guided operator for unfamiliar diving, surf, kite or remote off-road routes.
- Do not disturb turtle nests, coral, dunes, mangroves or wildlife.
- Remote beaches may have no shade, drinking water or mobile signal.
